When I was in France doing the Richard McKinley workshop, I would get up early and go for a 3 mile walk. Everyday, I would pass by this ladies' house with all the doors and windows open and she would be watering her plants. I thought that was a little strange but she was out in the middle of nowhere so I guess she felt safe. We would wave and try to talk to each other but I couldn't speak French and she couldn't speak English-so we would just to hand gestures.
